Artist’s Book Collection seeking a new home within Denmark.

The collection we began back in 2009 in: ‘The Reading Corner’ is currently homeless. For the past year we have been trying to find new homes for these works.

All research publications were donated to Vingaards Officin – Bogtrykmuseet Viborg (Book Printing Museum, Denmark) in 2022.

For the remaining collection of artists’ books we are hoping to find a Danish public collection who would take it under its wing.

Please get in contact with Mette-Sofie Ambeck if you know of or represent such a collection. Email: mette(dot)ambeck(at)gmail(dot)com

To see a full list of the artists' books go to: Doverodde Book Arts collection.

Limfjordscentret Doverodde Købmandsgård is now Doverodde Købmandsgård and is closed until the summer of 2025, undergoing a massive transformation to house a new division of the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK) and a Nature Village.

We do not expect the new management to hold Artist Book Events in the future.

Why this new web adresse?

Since 2014 the login codes for the original site has been passed on to changing management and eventually got lost. Which has meant we have lost all access to the original site and email for the book arts.

Google warning to close all emails which have been inactive for over 2 years by December 2023, means both email and website will disappear.

To prevent this from happening, we have made a copy of the original site, so we can preserve the archive we had built.

2014

We are sorry to have to inform you that the

Doverodde International Book Arts Festival V & Symposium – 2014

has been cancelled due to unsuccessful funding applications.

At this point we are unable to say when we may host another Festival given that funding does play a key role. We will however continue to exhibit Artists’ Books at Doverodde Købmandsgård.

Thank you all so much for all of your support over the last few years. Without the participation, interest and wonderful work of those of you who have supported the events at Doverodde it would not have been as enjoyable as it was. (:

Further details and updates will also be posted on our website.
